Friday, the Detroit Lions have landed another former head coach as a coordinator. Former St. Louis Rams coach Scott Linehan is the new offensive coordinator as the Lions withheld terms of the deal on Friday.

Linehan was fired in St. Louis early last season, but already had turned down the San Francisco 49ers coordinator position this offseason. at the age of 45 he spent three-plus seasons as the head coach of the St. Louis Rams before being fired after an 0-4 start.

Linehan has over 19 years of coaching experience - including four as an offensive coordinator prior to his time with St. Louis. He spent the 2005 season with the Miami Dolphins, improving the team's total offense from 29th in 2004 (4,960 yards) to 14th (5,198).

Earlier this week, the Lions hired former Chiefs head coach Gunther Cunningham as defensive coordinator.
