Stacey Dash Criticizes Beyoncé And Jay-Z Trip To Cuba And Faces Backlash

Beyoncé and Jay-Z went to Cuba to celebrate their fifth wedding anniversary last week, and critics have questioned whether the trip was legal.

The power couple received backlash from Cuban-American Congress members from Florida, among others, for violating the longstanding U.S. embargo against Cuba. The Treasury Department has since confirmed that the trip to Cuba was authorized and therefore legal.

But some celebrities have also come forward to speak against the jaunt. “Clueless” star Stacey Dash voiced her opinion on Twitter, writing, “"Do you care that The Jay Z"s have taken the capital you have given them and funded a communist oppressive regime?"

Responses from her followers mainly showed support for the couple’s trip. “Going to Cuba does not make you a Communist,” one person wrote. “Twitter has made me understand how she [Dash] gets married, dumped/divorced so quickly…chick is pretty but a total airhead…such a waste,” another said.

This is not the first time Dash has been outspoken about political issues. In October, Dash got flak for supporting presidential candidate Mitt Romney on Twitter. Wearing a red bathing suit and red lipstick, the beautiful actress stood in front of the American flag with a prop that read "Dash America" and had a large "R" on it.

“Vote for Romney. The only choice for your future,” the photo caption read.

People on Twitter immediately responded, most negatively. User @Mylee_Evelyn wrote “I am no longer a Stacey Dash fan lol.”

@Big_Pak wrote, “All beauty, no brains.”

Meanwhile, Beyonce is set to kick off her "Mrs. Carter" world tour in Belgrade, Serbia, on April 15.
