Daniel Craig may be switching up the tux and shaken vesper martinis for a blaster and all-white shield of armor in the upcoming “Star Wars 7” sequel. It’s the James Bond and “Star Wars” crossover “Moonraker” never was!

On the red carpet for the London premiere of “Man Up,” “Star Trek” actor and friend of J.J. Abrams, Simon Pegg, let slip “The Force Awakens” tidbit in response to his own rumored cameo. Pegg said that he would not play a Stormtrooper in the new “Star Wars” film, but that 007 star Daniel Craig would. Yahoo! reports the actor then tried to back track from his potential spoiler.

Pegg added that fans would “love trying to work out which covered up character is him.” So somewhere, at some point during “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” Daniel Craig will potentially amble onscreen under the guise of a Stormtrooper. EW noted that both the new James Bond sequel “Spectre” and “The Force Awakens” shared a filming home at Pinewood Studios, making it even easier for Craig to briefly appear for a cameo.

However the uncredited role may not be under the hood of Stormtrooper helmet. Comedian Pegg has handled keeping J.J. Abrams’ movie secrets since the pair began collaborating on 2009’s “Star Trek” reboot. Pegg had to stay mum for several months ahead of the big surprise reveal for Benedict Cumberbatch’s character in “Star Trek: Into Darkness.” The actor may also be throwing off the press from the tracks of his new “Star Trek 3” script.

It’s likely that Daniel Craig did nab a role in the long-awaited sequel. Now it’s up to someone, maybe even Craig himself, to point out when masked extra he really is.

"Star Wars: The Force Awakens" opens in theaters Dec. 18, 2015.
