A new Moff is said to be the main villain in “Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One.” A few familiar villains from the original trilogy reportedly also are featured in the movie. The plot of the movie revolves around rebel forces stealing the plans of the first Death Star superweapon of the Empire. [Spoiler alert]

According to a report by Bloody-Disgusting, a source has said that cast member Ben Mendelsohn will play a Moff in the movie and that his character will be the main villain. The Moff also is said to hire bounty hunters to retrieve the stolen Death Star plans from the rebels.

Some of the bounty hunters featured in the movie include Boba Fett, Bossk, Dengar, Zuckuss, 4-LOM and the assassination droid IG-88. Cad Bane, the Western-styled bounty hunter from the franchise's animated series, is said to be making his live-action debut in "Rogue One."

There are said to be more bounty hunters in the movie; but the list above is said to be of the “core group” who may play a more prominent role. The producers supposedly are contemplating a Wookie bounty hunter in the “Star Wars” spinoff.

According to a previous report by Bloody-Disgusting, Darth Vader also will play an important part in the movie. The report states that the character’s appearance will be more than just a cameo and that he “enters the fray” after learning that the plans for the Death Star have been stolen. A previous report by Jason Ward of MakingStarWars also stated that Vader will play a major role in the movie. The droids R2-D2 and C-3PO also reportedly will appear in the movie.

“Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One” is slated to be released on Dec. 16, 2016, in the U.S. The movie is being directed by Gareth Edwards, who is known for “Monsters” (2010) and “Godzilla” (2014).
