With just a few months to go before the release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” and all of the promotional trailers already out, fans are starting to realize that they don’t know all that much about the upcoming J.J. Abrams film. Now, one of the film franchise’s principal stars is reassuring people that the secrecy will all pay off in the end by giving the film his glowing stamp of approval.

Speaking during an interview on "Jimmy Kimmel Live," Han Solo actor Harrison Ford did his best to field questions from late night host Jimmy Kimmel about the upcoming movie without spoiling any details about its notoriously secretive plot. It’s probably worth mentioning that he appeared in a hot dog costume with a dog nose on his face to celebrate Halloween.

“What is there to say?” he asks in the video below. “And why would you wanna say anything? I want the audience to experience it. I don’t want them to hear it.”

Fortunately, the host wasn’t letting the 73-year-old actor off that easily and continued to press him for details on the movie. Chief among many fan’s curiosities about the film is why the original trilogy’s principal lead, Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill), hasn’t been featured in any of the three trailers for the film and seems to be the only cast member left off the official “The Force Awakens” poster.

“There wasn’t room,” Ford deadpanned initially, before softening a bit. “No, there’s a very good reason. I can’t tell you. Nothing.”

The actor’s statements, while vague, echo those recently given by the director when fans noticed that Skywalker had been left out of the third and final trailer for the film, meaning that the only glimpse fans will get of Mark Hamill reprising his role as the iconic character will be after they purchase their ticket to “The Force Awakens” on Dec. 18.

“These are good questions to be asking,” Abrams told the Associated Press when asked about Skywalker. “I can’t wait for you to find out the answer. It’s no accident.”

It seems that there’s some kind of mystery surrounding the jedi knight’s involvement in the upcoming film that’s so essential to the plot, he’s not allowed to appear in any promotions. Fortunately, this shouldn’t affect the ticket sales of the movie as even the promise of the character’s return is enough to fill theater seats. As ComicBook notes, it also helps that Ford wasn’t shy about giving the film his unabashed support.

“I can tell you this. It’s really, really good.Trust me, it’s really good. The new cast, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Adam Driver, and Oscar Isaac are phenomenal. J.J. has made an incredible movie. You will not be disappointed at all. I promise you.”
