Following the premiere of the new “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” trailer during ESPN's Monday Night Football, fans are still coming down from the utter excitement of seeing the film’s latest full-length teaser. Among the cadre of fans that freaked out when the trailer dropped were two of the film’s principal actors, Daisy Ridley and John Boyega.

Both cast members from the upcoming film had the presence of mind to record their individual reactions while watching the fourth, and presumably final, trailer before the J.J. Abrams-directed movie hits theaters Dec. 18. While the actors come off as professional and experienced talents in the trailer, they dissolve into screaming and crying fans in their reaction videos - all in a literal matter of seconds.

Ridley was the first to post her reaction, mentioning in the caption on her Instagram page that she set an alarm so that she would be wide awake in time to see the new video. It’s only a 15-second clip, but it features the 23-year-old actress laying in bed watching the video on her smartphone. By the end of the 2:35-minute trailer, she’s in tears, telling her friend filming, “Oh my god, it’s amazing!”

Prior to the tears, the actress’ eyes practically bugged out of her head when, judging from the audio coming from her phone, the first new shot of the Millennium Falcon being chased by TIE fighters comes on screen. Previously, the iconic spaceship was first seen in the teaser trailer that debuted at the 2015 Star Wars Celebration in April. However, the new footage shows more of that chase scene. The big moment accompanies Ridley’s voice asking about stories from the days of the Empire and Rebel war in the previous films.

Meanwhile, John Boyega’s reaction video, which was posted later that night -- Entertainment Weekly reports he had to watch the trailer on a delay -- was somehow even more animated than Ridley. Unable to contain his excitement, the “24: Live Another Day” star simply repeats the words “yep” over and over again before an unknown image from the trailer seems to catch him so off guard that he falls behind the couch he’s sitting on. It’s impossible to tell from the video what hit him so hard, but odds are good that he was taken aback by the final shot of the trailer as he clearly stopped watching after going over the sofa. The last frame of the trailer shows his character, Finn, engage with the movie’s principal villain, Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), in a lightsaber battle. After all, what is more joy-inducing for a “Star Wars” fan than wielding a blue lightsaber against a cloaked villain with a red one?
