The rise of the First Order in place of the Empire, before the events in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” will be shown in a new game. A video announcing the game shows how the remnant forces of the Empire managed to maintain control. [Spoiler alert]

The evil Emperor and his subordinate Darth Vader may be dead, but that did not stop the remnant forces from staging a comeback. According to the “Star Wars” website, a game developed by Kabam, in collaboration with the Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilm, will let players explore the events that led to the rise of the First Order.

The game, titled “Star Wars: Uprising,” will be available on mobile devices and the beta test version is expected to be launched in a few weeks. The role-playing game allows players to choose from playing as a bounty hunter, smuggler and diplomat. Familiar locations such as Hoth and Cloud City are featured.

The trailer video of the game shows that a new leader rallied the remnant forces of the Empire by lying about the death of the Emperor and the destruction of the second Death Star. The new leader describes the attack of the rebels on the Death Star as a “failure” and the news of the Emperor’s death as a “treasonous fabrications.”

The franchise has been releasing new canon material in the run-up to the December release of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” One of the main characters in the forthcoming movie is Han Solo and, according to a report by Rich McCormick of The Verge, the current comic series by Marvel reveals something big about the character’s history. According to the report, Solo was already married to a character called Sana before he and Leia fell in love. Han, played by Harrison Ford, and Leia, played by Carrie Fisher, were shown to be in love in the original trilogy.

The report suggests that Han was not cheating on Sana with Leia, as the comic books are based in the period between “Episode IV: A New Hope” and “Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back.” McCormick, however, points out that Han never mentions Sana in the movies.

The relationship status between Han and Leia in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is currently unclear. While Han was seen next to Chewbacca, played by Peter Mayhew, in the second trailer; Fisher has still not appeared in the two trailers released so far.
