The stars of the film "The Rise of the Planet of the Apes" recently appeared on the red carpet for the Hollywood premiere.

"It has been an immense and intense experience and an upward scale on my learning graph," cast member Freida Pinto said in a statement. She also spoke well of her costars and the film's director, Rupert Wyatt.

Critics are definitely going ape over the film, and several movie websites have given it positive reviews. While "Rise" is using the 1968 "Planet of the Apes" as a guideline for the story, it is not going to be a remake of the classic movie.

The movie will hit theaters on Friday.
