Stock index futures added gains on Thursday after data showed new applications for unemployment benefits in the United States fell last week to a near four-year low, pointing to continued improvement in the labor market.

S&P 500 futures rose 6.6 points and were above fair value, a formula that evaluates pricing by taking into account interest rates, dividends and time to expiration on the contract. Dow Jones industrial average futures added 36 points, and Nasdaq 100 futures gained 14.75 points.
