Arkanova Energy is a North American exploration and production company based in The Woodlands, Texas, which has a solid working-interest footprint in three key areas; Arkansas, Colorado and Montana. In addition to continuing to develop existing properties, the Company is also constantly pursuing the field and seeking to acquire, explore and develop for new oil and gas reserves.

Arkanova brings in results via a comprehensive, science-based approach to gathering and analyzing resource site data, which involves the steadfast application of new and innovative technologies to increase cost effectiveness, and a driving emphasis on optimizing logistical outlay.

The outlook for 2010 includes a continued focus on the Montana, Two Medicine Cut Bank Sand Unit (TMCBSU), where a horizontal well will be the first of its kind to employ the new Schlumberger PeriScope Technology. Also in the works is a thorough review of the Schlumberger studies on the Montana, Bakken/Three Forks Shale and Cut Bank Sands, as well as evaluation and subsequent employment of the Gustavson Associates studies done on the Arkansas, Fayetteville Shale site.

Arkanova’s Grove East prospect in Colorado is a 1320-acre site with proven capacity which has the potential to support multiple vertical or horizontal wells and – if leaseholds currently under negotiation are acquired – the total acreage the Company has to operate on will expand to some 2460 acres.
