Stocks are continuing to show strength during late morning trading on Tuesday.

Banking and health insurance stocks are leading the advance, with the Dow Jones Banks Index up 5.5 percent and the Morgan Stanley Healthcare Payor Index up 4.2 percent.

At the other end of the spectrum, housing and precious metal stocks are turning in some of the worst performances. The Philadelphia Housing Index is down 2.2 percent, while the Philadelphia Gold/Silver Index is down 1.5 percent.

Currently, the Dow is up 110.31 at 7,632.33, the Nasdaq is up 25.81 at 1,527.61, and the S&P 500 is up 10.35 at 797.88.
