Stocks open higher as Dubai concerns ease
U.S. stocks opened higher on Tuesday as concerns over Dubai's debt problems eased and solid manufacturing data from China boosted sentiment.
The Dow Jones industrial average <.DJI> was up 108.90 points, or 1.05 percent, at 10,453.74. The Standard & Poor's 500 Index <.SPX> rose 11.57 points, or 1.06 percent, at 1,107.20. The Nasdaq Composite Index <.IXIC> gained 23.58 points, or 1.10 percent, at 2,168.18.
