RTTNews - Stocks have moved higher in early trading on Tuesday, with the major averages all climbing into positive territory after ending the previous session mixed. Nonetheless, buying interest has remained somewhat subdued, limiting the upside for the markets.

With traders reacting to upwardly revised guidance by Texas Instruments (TXN), semiconductor stocks are turning in some of the best performances. While resource stocks are also seeing early strength amid rising commodities prices, healthcare stocks are bucking the uptrend.

In the past few minutes, the major averages have pulled back off their highs for the young session, although they are holding onto modest gains. The Dow is currently up 16.40 at 8,780.89, the Nasdaq is up 12.27 at 1,854.67 and the S&P 500 is up 3.34 at 942.48.
