Stocks in the U.S. finish in red; Dollar consolidates gains

FXstreet.com (Córdoba) - A last hour sell off sent stocks lower in Wall Street. The Dow Jones lost 0.02% and the Nasdaq fell 0.12%. Mains stock indexes posted gains most of the day but in the final hour tumbled to the negative side. Dollar is consolidating gains against majors but is falling against currencies tied to commodities. Gold holds below $1,100.

EUR/USD found support at 1.4330 and rose to 1.4360. The pair tumbled after rising to a one-week high at 1.4460. GBP/USD is back below 1.5900 and trades near intra-day lows that lie at 1.5860. The Pound fell also to a 2-month low against the Swiss Franc.

The Yen rose during the American session against European currencies but weakened to the Dollar. USD/JPY rose above 92.00 to 92.08 reaching a fresh 2-month high. But the pair was unable to hold above the mention level and pulled down to 91.80.
