Risk raiders switched on the alert-mode on trading Monday, sending the global stocks down with the euro and commodities, while boosting safe havens including treasuries and gold, as traders grew extremely cautious with an EU summit being held now in Brussels and Greece's sluggish debt-talks with its private creditors failed to sooth stoked markets.

Stocks stretched the losing streak today after German Chancellor, Angela Merkel, said Greece's aid program won't be wrapped up for good today because talks with banks over debt reduction aren't complete. The focus on Greece overshadowed progress toward a long-lasting rescue fund and stricter budget rules harmonized to stabilize the euro.
