FX horror series “The Strain” wrapped up Season 3 on Oct. 30. In the shocking season finale, Dr. Ephraim Goodweather’s son Zack became angry at his father for killing his strigoi mother in self-defense and triggered the explosion of a nuclear bomb that rocked New York City. Thanks to Zack’s action, The Master escaped the clutches of the vampire hunters.
With the conclusion of the third season, when will “The Strain” begin shooting Season 4? After all, several fans want to see the downfall of The Master/Eldritch Palmer (Jonathan Hyde) and Zack (Max Charles) after the countless lives they have claimed.
According to Kevin Durand, the actor who portrays former rat exterminator Vasiliy Fet, Season 4 starts shooting “very soon.” The FX star mentioned this in a tweet. Octavia Spencer, the actress who starred in “The Help,” tweeted to the actor, “#thestrain I’m ready to kill Zach and I love kids. OMG he sided with strigoi. Next season must begin NOW.”
Durand defended Zack by replying, “Don’t be too hard on him @octaviaspencer Zack has major mama issues BTW, Season 4 of @TheStrainFX starts shooting very soon.”
Season 4 is the final season of “The Strain.” It will wrap up the storylines of Fet, Dutch (Ruta Gedmintas), Eph (Corey Stoll), Setrakian (David Bradley), The Master, Gus (Miguel Gomez) and Thomas Eichhorst (Richard Sammel).
The Season 3 finale revealed The Master’s vessel. After Quinlan (Rupert Penry-Jones) decapitated Bolivar (Jack Kesey), the strigoi leader took Stoneheart CEO Plamer’s body. He mainly did it to secure the location of the second nuclear bomb.
The finale also showed several bloodsuckers running with reckless abandon on the streets of New York after the explosion shrouded the sun for some time.
“The Strain” Season 4 airs in 2017.
