A very familiar face has now joined the roster of Season 2 DLC Characters for “Street Fighter V,” and it is none other than Zeku. The “ever-changing ninja” may have mysteriously vanished in the past, but he is now back. Not only that, Zeku has a new fighting style that he will show off to players this time around.

Just this past weekend, Capcom showcased a new DLC trailer for “Street Fighter V” at the South East Asia Major tournament in Singapore. Zeku is the final character to join the roster this year, and he will be available for purchase starting on Oct. 24.

Zeku is from “Street Fighter Alpha 2” and he is known for being the teacher of Guy who imparted the latter the ways of Bushinryu, which is a style of ninjutsu. When Guy succeeded in becoming the 39th master of Bushinryu, Zeku disappeared. Nothing has been spoken about the character since, so it’s a good thing that he is coming back to the “Street Fighter” world once again.

What makes Zeku’s reappearance special is the fact that players can now use him in the series. Polygon pointed out that when Zeku was part of “Street Fighter Alpha 2,” he was only there as a non-playable character in the training mode.

Based on the teaser trailer for Zeku, the character seems to be excellent in close-quarters combat. He is seen showcasing some kicks, jabs and stomps in the clip. He also flaunted his ability to switch between two forms in the reveal trailer. One of his forms is his older, blonde self; the other one appears to be something akin to Strider Hiryu, as per GameSpot.

Zeku’s addition has received mixed reactions on the official Street Fighter Facebook page. “I really feel so underwhelmed. EX and super moves look so normal. It’s hard to like this game,” one wrote. “Looks like he plays nothing like Guy … and that’s a good thing! He is to Guy like Gouken was to Ryu in ‘SF4.’ Greet job Capcom,” another commented.

Come Oct. 24, players can purchase Zeku for $6. If they want to obtain all of the previously released Season 2 DLC characters, they should be willing to pay $30 or the pack. This contains Zeku, Akuma, Kolin, Ed, Abigail and Menat.

The official introduction of Zeku comes about a month after Menat was revealed. Menat debuted as part of “Street Fighter V’s” Season 2 Character Pass on Aug. 29. Menat came with three different looks: standard, story mode and battle.

Meanwhile, apart from the new playable characters, players should also check out the Halloween-inspired and school uniform DLC costumes. Each new costume retails for $4. There is also the returning 2016 Halloween skins bundle, which comes with the Spooky Arena stage.

Aside from the new DLC outfits, Capcom also launched a familiar stage for “Street Fighter V” late last month. Called English Manor, the stage is a castle that’s described to overlook “a sweeping landscape with the Northern Lights hovering up above.” According to Eurogamer, English Manor is a reimagined stage from “Super Street Fighter 2,” so it’s not surprising why this stage appears to be very familiar to loyal fans of the franchise.
