Stunning ‘Samsung Gear S2’ Smartwatch Embellished In Diamonds, Rose Gold Launched

After introducing the relatively subtle platinum and rose gold variants of the Gear S2, Samsung apparently collaborated with the luxury jewelry and device maker “de GRISOGONO” to add more bling to the smartwatch.

Thanks to de GRISOGONO’s artistry, the limited edition Samsung Gear S2 comes embellished with more than 100 white and black diamonds, rose gold and a watch strap studded with signature black galuchat.

As it turns out, the diamond-covered gold bezel rotates freely around the watch face. This allows device owners to access the watch’s library of apps and features. Notifications and activity logs can also be accessed using the rotating blingy bezel.

Brand de Grisogono will reportedly release this limited edition Gear S2 smartwatch sometime in summer this year. Interested buyers can purchase this customized device from Samsung as well as from de Grisogono’s stores.

The parties involved have not revealed the price yet. However, going by the photos, it goes without saying that de Grisogono’s Gear S2 will cost an arm and a leg.

Under the hood, the configurations of Samsung Gear S2 luxury edition remain the same as the regular variants. It comes with a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED display, aided by 360 x 360 screen resolution. Samsung’s Exynos 3250 dual chipset powers the watch with 512 MB of RAM onboard. It runs on Samsung’s own Tizen OS.

This device comes equipped with 4 GB of native storage space and it is backed by 250 mAh battery unit. The Gear S2 supports Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC and it houses a heart rate monitor.
