Mike (Patrick J. Adams) was finally been released from prison at the end of last night’s episode of “Suits.” So what’s next for him now? Will he try to practice law again after serving jail time for being a faux lawyer?

In an interview with Entertainment Tonight back in March, Adams admitted that he “doesn’t know the full details of how someone could get back into law after they've gone to prison for practicing law fraudulently.” But while he’s not ruling out the possibility of Mike practicing law again, he told the news outlet during a new interview that making that happen is a “longshot.”

“It was a very public case where he’s been put away, and it would probably be difficult for a client to trust somebody who went to prison for practicing law fraudulently,” the 35-year-old actor explained. “I would never say no, but I don’t think it’s something that can happen overnight. I don’t think it’s just a pull a trigger, Mike will be a lawyer again.”

Mike has always wanted to be a lawyer ever since his parents died in a car crash when he was 11, but after realizing that his true north star is helping people, the Canadian thespian said that viewers can expect his character to use his skill-set and intelligence in a different way to help those who are in need.

Although Adams doesn’t think that Mike will be practicing law anytime soon, the “Legends of Tomorrow” actor said that it “doesn’t mean there aren’t creative ways” writers can use to make Mike and Harvey (Gabriel Macht) work together again.

For instance, Zap2it reported that Mike can be a resourceful asset at Pearson Specter Litt as a private investigator, noting he could be the “Suits” version of Kalinda from “The Good Wife.”

What do you think? Will Mike go back to school to become a legit lawyer or will he spend his time doing something else? Sound off in the comments!
