Wendell Pierce is reprising his role as Robert Zane in the upcoming 100th episode (Season 7, episode 8) of “Suits.”

Series star Patrick J. Adams, who is directing the milestone installment of the USA Network show, revealed Pierce’s appearance in the special episode on Instagram. The Instagram post, which Adams shared earlier today, shows a photo of him with Pierce on the set of the legal drama’s 100th episode. According to the caption of the photo, Adams, who portrays Mike Ross on the series, was directing Pierce and acting opposite him on the day the pic was taken.

Pierce’s Robert Zane was last seen in Season 6, episode 11, where he showed up at Pearson Specter Litt with the same merger offer he gave to Jessica Pearson (Gina Torres). Harvey Specter (Gabriel Macht) and Louis Litt (Rick Hoffman) refused to take the offer, which Robert clearly understood. But things between the two parties started to get ugly when Louis not only poached Robert’s associates but also tried to steal his biggest clients. It’s unclear whether Robert will appear in any episodes prior to the show’s 100th episode, but either way, Robert’s interesting dynamic with everyone at Pearson Specter Litt will definitely make the milestone episode more special.

Plot details about the 100th episode are being kept under wraps, but Macht shared some fun ideas for the installment during an interview with HarpersBAZAAR.com last March. “I’d love to see us all get drunk onscreen,” Macht said. “That would be fun. That’s what usually happens on celebratory episodes, right?”

In a more serious note, Macht reflected on how lucky they are to reach 100 episodes. “We’ve been so fortunate to get to 100 episodes,” Macht said. “It’s so rare that a show lasts this long, and has the kind of fan base that we have all over the world. It’s very humbling. I think all of us and the crew will all look around and try to just take this moment and really connect to being grateful for it. That’s what I’m looking forward to.”

“Suits” Season 7 will premiere on Wednesday, July 12 at 9 p.m. EDT on USA Network.
