Meghan Markle seems to be well-suited for the role of a princess, according to some experts.

With rumors of the "Suits" star's engagement and wedding to Prince Harry still very much alive, Markle, 36, is already being compared to her possible future sister-in-law Kate Middleton, 35. One source recently claimed that the two ladies have a number of things in common, implying that Markle may easily fit in with the royal family if she and Prince Harry do end up tying the knot.

"Meghan has all the makings of a princess. Meghan is a natural, and her personality shines through," said "Tatler" style editor Sophie Goodwin (via People).

The "Horrible Bosses" star and the Duchess of Cambridge are close in age, so there is potential for the two to develop a royal sisterhood much like Princess Diana and Sarah Ferguson, who wed Prince Andrew in 1986. However, Ferguson did not quite reach the level of Princess Diana's fashion influence. "Diana was such a massive fashion icon," royal photographer Mark Stewart said. "[Ferguson] tried all the top designers, but she was always being compared to Diana."

Middleton and Markle's fate might be similar and different to Princess Diana and Ferguson at the same time. Similar, because they are often compared to each other and different, because both sett new trends in fashion with every ensemble.

Middleton's influence in fashion is visible in the RepliKate community. A number of social media users often imitate her style and share their outfits online to thousands of followers. Markle, who started dating Prince Harry last year, is starting to catch up to Middleton in this area.

Just recently, when the "Dater's Handbook" star and Prince Harry made their first public appearance as a couple at the 2017 Invictus Games, Markle's influence on fashion, dubbed as Meghan Effect, began and it was reportedly as potent as Middleton's Kate Effect. Shortly after photos of Markle in a white button-down shirt, ripped jeans and flats surfaced online, her ensemble immediately became immensely popular. Her $420 jeans by Mother were sold out. Her $230 Misha NoNoo blouse and $640 Sarah Flint footwear were no longer available on shelves, while her $210 tote had a long waitlist.
