WWE’s Money in the Bank Pay-Per-View just ended, but the matches for SummerSlam are already shaping up. The episode of “Monday Night Raw” following the PPV was one of the best of 2013, setting up the main event for the second biggest show of the wrestling calendar.

Below are predictions for the 2013 SummerSlam match card. The PPV will take place on Aug.18 in Los Angeles.

WWE Champion John Cena vs. Daniel Bryan

The match was set on “Monday Night Raw,” as Cena challenged Bryan to close out the show. Bryan is easily the biggest threat to Cena’s title, since he won the belt from The Rock at WrestleMania 29.

CM Punk vs. Brock Lesnar

The match hasn’t been officially set, but the physical confrontation between Punk and Lesnar on Monday almost guarantees that the two will face off at SummerSlam. The personal issues between Punk and Paul Heyman could make this one of the best feuds in recent years.

Damien Sandow vs. Cody Rhodes

Sandow betrayed his best friend when he won the Money in the Bank briefcase, opening up the opportunity for Rhodes to become a babyface.

Dolph Ziggler vs. Big E Langston

It appeared that Ziggler might get a rematch with Del Rio at the PPV, but the events of Monday night seem to indicate a match between the two at SummerSlam. When Ziggler officially broke up with AJ Lee, his former bodyguard turned on him.

World Heavyweight Champion Alberto Del Rio vs. Rob Van Dam

With Ziggler out of the picture, Del Rio needs a new challenger for his belt. Van Dam just picked up a big win against Chris Jericho and would be a big name to make this a marquee match.

Tag Team Champions Seth Rollins and Roman Reigns vs. The Usos

The Usos failed in their one title shot, but the match has been praised so much that the WWE may try to set up a rematch.

Intercontinental Champion Curtis Axel vs. Christian

It doesn’t seem like Axel will lose the title anytime soon and he needs a formidable opponent to keep is momentum. Christian still gets a pretty good reaction from the crowd and wouldn’t be hurt by a PPV loss.
