“Supergirl” actress Brenda Strong revealed why fans shouldn’t miss the Thanksgiving dinner scene involving Eliza (Helen Slater), Alex (Chyler Leigh), Kara (Melissa Benoist) and her friends in Season 2, episode 8 of the CW series.

Although Strong wasn’t part of the scene, she told Entertainment Weekly that the rare get-together is going to be fun to watch. “My understanding is that it’s really funny because it seems like everyone wants to share their secrets,” said Strong, who plays Lillian Luthor on the show. “Alex … decides it’s time to come out to her mother; Kara is shocked when Eliza suggests that Mon-El (Chris Wood) has feelings for her [because] she doesn’t even see that coming; and Winn (Jeremy Jordan) and James (Mehcad Brooks) have this huge secret about who Guardian is.”

“Everyone wants to share their secrets,” she continued, adding, “but nobody is allowed to talk because it just becomes a cluster of intent that doesn’t really ever come out well. I think it makes for great comedy when you have everyone wanting to share something but nobody gets to share it in a way that they expect to.”

The episode, however, isn’t all fun. According to its synopsis, CADMUS unleashes a virus that instantly kills any alien in the vicinity, so Kara seeks help from Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath) to stop her foster mom from further spreading the deadly virus.

The episode also marks the start of the highly anticipated crossover event between “Arrow,” “The Flash,” “Supergirl” and “Legends of Tomorrow.” At the end of the episode, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Cisco (Carlos Valdes) travel to Kara’s Earth to ask her join the battle against the Dominators who plan to invade Earth-1.

“Supergirl” Season 2, episode 8, titled “Medusa,” airs on Monday, Nov. 28 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
