“Supergirl” star Melissa Benoist was spotted filming a scene opposite an unidentified character in New Westminster, Canada on Wednesday.

In a couple of set photos taken by HollywoodNorth.buzz, Kara (Benoist) is seen facing off against a black-leather-clad female villain. Click here and here to see the pictures.

The face of the actress playing the mystery foe isn’t seen in the photos. But because “Jane the Virgin” star Yael Grobglas was photographed with Benoist on the same location during the day, it’s likely that the black leather-clad villain is Grobglas’ “Supergirl” character.

As announced at the show’s San Diego Comic-Con panel last weekend, Grobglas will appear in Season 3 of the CW series as DC villainess Psi, a formidable opponent with psychic powers. According to TVLine, when Psi first meets Kara, the Girl of Steel will be affected in “surprising ways.”

Grobglas has been in Vancouver for several days now, suggesting that she has started filming her part for the superhero series. See some of Grobglas’ recent Instagram photos and video taken during her stay in Vancouver below:

In addition to Grobglas’ Psi, other previously announced villains for Season 3 of “Supergirl” are Odette Annable’s Reign and Adrian Pasdar’s Morgan Edge.

Reign is Season 3’s big bad. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Reign will be introduced to “Supergirl” as part of the show’s interpretation of the famed World Killer storyline from the DC Comics. In the comics, Reign is one of the five Worldkillers created by Supergirl’s biological father Zor-El. Just like the Girl of Steel, Reign possesses superhuman strength and speed, as well as the ability to fly.

Reign’s arrival in National City was teased at the end of Season 2 finale of “Supergirl,” in which it was revealed that there was another baby from Krypton — in addition to Supergirl and Superman (Tyler Hoechlin) — who was sent to Earth before Krypton’s destruction.

Morgan, meanwhile, is a ruthless real-estate developer who has big plans for National City but immediately finds himself at odds with Kara and Lena Luthor (Katie McGrath). Morgan appears in the show’s Season 3 trailer released at San Diego Comic-Con last weekend.

“Supergirl” Season 3 will premiere on Monday, Oct. 9 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
