“Supernatural” actor Misha Collins has been cast in NBC series “Timeless.” The CW

It is always a joy to watch CW’s “Supernatural” when Dean (Jensen Ackles), Sam (Jared Padalecki), Crowley (Mark A. Sheppard) and Castiel/Cas (Misha Collins) join forces for a common goal. This week, the A-team tried to stop Lucifer (Rich Springfield) from wreaking havoc during a secret Ladyheart concert.

Although the Winchesters and their sidekicks were unable to stop the devil, they did manage to save everyone from the fallen angel’s clutches. In next week’s episode of the drama, which is also the mid-season finale of Season 12, the team will be back searching for God’s once favorite son.

According to the synopsis of episode 8 (via SpoilerTV), titled “LOTUS,” Lucifer’s search for power and influence over humanity in a vessel lands him in the White House. Episode 7 revealed that he loves to be adored and worshipped. Rock star Vince Vicente’s body allowed him to be worshipped by fans but now that the singer’s body is gone, he needs a new one to fulfill his needs. Where else can the devil get power and influence than in the White House?

The President of the United States of America (David Chisum) unknowingly makes a deal with Lucifer which leads Dean, Sam, Cas, Crowley and Rowena (Ruth Connell) to band together in order to fight the dark lord.

However, before the team heads to the Oval Office, the promo of “Supernatural” Season 12 fall finale shows Lucifer occupying the body of a priest in a church. A glimpse of a dead sister is also seen in the trailer.

Rowena will also be seen performing magic in episode 8.

Additionally, a grenade launcher might be used in the upcoming episode. This, of course, will make Dean very happy since he has been aching to use the device for a long time.

“Supernatural” Season 12, episode 8 premieres Thursday, Dec. 8 at 9 p.m. EST on The CW.
