Get your wallets ready — Nike and Supreme are reportedly releasing a new collaboration sneaker in the year ahead.

Streetwear brand Supreme dropped a hint it this week would be collaborating with long-time partner Nike to launch a new and improved iteration of the classic '90s sneaker the Nike Air More Uptempo, Sneaker News reported Tuesday.

The footwear-focused media outlet revealed the basketball sneaker will be named the “Suptempo,” with the word “SUP” replacing the iconic “AIR” upper detail on the shoe. No images or colorways have been confirmed, but fans are already creating mock-up images showing potential designs.

Further news regarding the sneaker’s release date have yet to be announced despite recent claims of a 2017 release date. Nike and Supreme did not immediately reply to a request for more details.

The Nike Air More Uptempo was popularized by former Chicago Bulls player Scottie Pippen. The Air More Uptempos are traditionally known for chunky soles and an “AIR” label on the outside of the shoe. The sneakers can retail for anywhere between $130 and $300.

Supreme has seen tremendous success with its sneaker collaborations, especially with partners like Timberland, Vans and Louis Vuitton.

The last frenzied release between Nike and Supreme was the Nike SB collaboration collection, which debuted in September 2016 on a surprise release date. The Supreme x Nike SB Blazer Low GT were released in three colorways — cannon blue, golden beige and desert bloom red. The low-top sneakers were inspired by the inimitable Nike SB Blazer Low GT sneakers, which were first released in the early ‘70s, Footwear News reported. The full collection debuted in major cities around the world, including Paris, London, Los Angeles and New York, as well as on Supreme’s website.

Given this history, fans may be able to expect a similar style launch style for the Suptempo.
