South Korea's current-account surplus had widened and reached its highest level since October, as a result of the steady rate of the exports amid the global slowdown in demand.

The achieved surplus is $4.23 billion compared with the prior value of $2.83 billion in September, and the trade-balance surplus of goods rose up to $3.65 billion in the previous month compared with the revised reading of $2.1 billions, also the total of the exports rose to $ 46.8 billion dollars in October compared with the prior month's reading of 46.6 billion dollars.
