“Survivor,” which continues to “outlast” all other reality shows on TV, returns Sep. 24 for season 29. This season, called “Survivor: San Juan Del Sur – Blood vs. Water,” will return to the San Juan Del Sur beach in Nicaragua, the third “Survivor” season to take place at the location. Jeff Probst will, of course, return to host as 18 new contestants get ready to play “Survivor.”

Like the original “Blood vs. Water” season in 2013, the contestants for this season come in pairs of people with previous, pre-show relationships (father and daughter, spouses, etc.). However, this season one of the pairs, a same gender female pair, backed out at the last minute due to a medical issue cutting the number of contestants down to 18 and making this the first season of “Survivor” with an un-balanced male to female ratio in the cast.

This season will also see the temporary end of “Redemption Island” after producers decided to change the format and bring back “Exile Island.” “Exile Island has not been seen since “Survivor: Tocantins” in Season 18.

Dale and Kelly Wentworth (Father and Daughter)

Kelly is a 28-year old marketing manager from Seattle.

Dale is a 55-year old farmer from Ephrata, Washington.

John Rocker and Julie McGee (Couple)

John, 39, is a former Major League Baseball pitcher for the Atlanta Braves.

Julie is a model who owns a tanning salon.

Nadiya and Natalie Anderson (Sisters)

Nadiya is a Crossfit trainer who formerly competed on “The Amazing Race” with her sister.

Missy Payne and Baylor Wilson (Mother and Daughter)

Missy is a 47-year old owner of a competitive cheerleading gym in Dallas.

Baylor, 20, is a cheerleader from Dallas.

John Misch and Jaclyn Schultz (Couple)

John, 26, was Michigan State University football player.

Jaclyn, 25, was Miss Michigan USA in 2013. John and Jaclyn are college sweethearts.

Drew and Alec Christy (Brothers)

Drew, 25, lives in Winter Park, Florida.

Jeremy is a 36-year old firefighter from Foxboro, Massachusetts.
