A suspect has been arrested following a mass stabbing at Lone Star College in Cypress, Texas, on Tuesday.

The Houston Chronicle reports that Dylan Andrew Quick, 20, is charged with three counts of aggravated assault.

During the attack, 14 people were injured as Quick attacked students with a “razor-type knife,” the Harris County Sheriff’s Office told the Chronicle. A knife handle was found in Quick’s backpack soon after the arrest, and pieces of the blade were found inside the body of at least one victim.

CNN reports that when Quick was arrested, he informed investigators that had fantasized about the event for years.

"According to the statement the suspect voluntarily gave investigators, he has had fantasies of stabbing people to death since he was in elementary school," a statement to CNN provided by the sheriff's office said. "He also indicated that he has been planning this incident for some time."

The New York Daily News reports that Quick was subdued by Lone Star student Steven Maida, who posted a picture of a restrained Quick on his Instagram feed soon after the event.

"F**k this mothaf**ker stabbed 5 people.2 girls in the cheek," Maida wrote under the name cheesin365. "Everyone ran the other way I said f**k that. Me and this kid got em #lonestarstabbing #f**kthiskid #copsaretooslow.”

Houston’s KHOU 11 News later confirmed that the man subdued and photographed by Maida was indeed Quick. KHOU 11 reports that Quick was well known around campus, but often as the butt of several jokes.

The Lone Star College campus where the stabbings occurred is located in Cypress, a suburb of Houston. The school has eight other campuses.

The stabbings, in which 14 people were injured, occurred at the college’s CyFair campus at 9191 Barker West Drive, the school said in an alert to students and staff that was posted on the Lone Star College website just before noon local time on Tuesday.

Four injured students were flown by helicopter to a hospital, while others were treated on the scene.

The campus was placed under under lockdown, the Chronicle reported.

The stabbings mark the second time the Houston-area school has dealt with violence on its campuses since January, when a shooting occurred at another Lone Star campus.

Student Jody Neal was struck several times by gunshots during the shooting in January. A maintenance worker and student Carlton Berry were also shot.
