In Saturday's late kick-off in the Premiership, Manchester United secured a 1-0 win at Swansea to keep the gap with leaders Manchester City to five points.

It was no easy task though, as Swansea boasted a formidable home record - no opposition player had scored a league goal at Swansea this season. However, Javier Hernandez was the one to break that stat with his goal ten minutes into the game, after a mistake by Angel Rangel. It proved to be the winner, although the Swans had quite a few opportunities to get back into the game.

Ex-Chelsea man Scott Sinclair was guilty of missing an open goal, six yards out, after failing to control the ball. Brendan Rodgers' men put in a brave display but it was the visitors who came close to scoring again when a Phil Jones far-post shot, after a typical marauding run, clipped off the post.

Man United are currently second in the table, five points behind Man City.
