RTTNews - Sweden's jobless rate decreased to 4.7% in May from 4.8% in the previous month, a report from the country's Public Employment Service said Thursday. The rate came in line with economists' expectations. During the month, there were 216,000 unemployed persons.

In May, the number of job terminations totaled 8,700, up from 5,100 in the same month the previous year. The report said since May last year the unemployment has increased more for men compared to women.
