RTTNews - Friday, Sweden's Public Employment Service said in a report that the jobless rate stood at 4.8% in April, unchanged from the rate in March. Economists expected the rate to come in at 4.9%.

During the month, there were 13,000 job terminations compared to 4,800 in April the previous year.

The report said the demand for labor continued to fall in April. The number of vacancies totaled 34,000 in the month, which is 36,000 lower than in the previous year. The employment service said that about 42,000 persons who had registered with the agency got work in the month.
