Tuesday, the Statistics Sweden announced that the consumer prices rose 0.2% year-on-year in March, slower than a 0.9% increase in February. Economists expected an increase of 0.4%.

On a monthly basis, the consumer prices rose 0.3% in March. Economists were looking for an increase of 0.5%.

The harmonized index of consumer prices increased 1.9% annually in March, slower than the 2.2% rise in the previous month. Month-on-month, the HICP rose 0.5%, after rising 0.6% in February.

Meanwhile, the annual inflation rate for the CPIF increased 1.9% and the CPIX grew 1.5%.

Month-on-month, the CPIF and CPIX rose 0.5% each.
