RTTNews - Thursday, the Statistics Sweden announced that the producer price index rose 2.9% year-on-year in May, slower than a 3.2% rise in the preceding month. Economists expected an increase of 3.5%.

Month-on-month, producer prices declined 0.5% in May, after falling 0.9% in April. Economists expected prices to drop 0.1%.

Meanwhile, the export price index climbed 5.7% in May, slower than a 5.9% rise in the previous month. Import prices were down 0.3% compared to a 0.6% increase in April. On a monthly basis, export prices fell 0.3% after declining 1.6% in April, while import prices rose 0.3%, reversing a 1.2% drop in the preceding month.
