RTTNews - Friday, the Statistics Sweden announced that the producer price index or PPI increased 0.9% year-on-year in July, slower than the 1.1% growth in the previous month. Economists expected an increase of 0.5%.

On a monthly basis, the PPI rose 0.7% in July, compared with a 0.8% fall in June. Economists were looking for an increase of 0.3%.

Export price index increased 3.2% annually in July, faster than the 3.1% increase in the previous month. On a monthly basis, export prices rose 1.1%, after a 1.6% fall in June.

Import price index dropped 3.3% on an annual basis in July, compared with a 3.2% fall in the previous month. Month-on-month, import prices increased 1.5% from 1.4% fall in June.

Meanwhile, producer price index for home sales, dropped 1.6% year-on-year in July, after falling 1.1% in June. On a monthly basis, it was up 0.3%.
