RTTNews - Tuesday, a report by Statistics Sweden said retail sales rose 4.4% year-on-year in May, slower than a 6% rise in the preceding month. Economists expected an increase of 1.8%.

Month-on-month, retail sales were up a seasonally adjusted 0.2% in May, slower than a 4.4% growth in April. Economists expected sales to fall 0.6%.

In the three months ended May, retail sales grew 2.6% compared to a 1.4% rise in the preceding three-month period.
