Sweden's retail trade turnover fell 1.7% year-on-year in March, after falling 1.4% in February, the Statistics Sweden said in a report Tuesday. The decline came in line with economists' expectations.

Month-on-month, the retail trade turnover slipped a seasonally adjusted 0.1% in March compared to a 0.5% drop in the preceding month. Economists expected a fall of 0.2%.

In the January-March period, retail trade turnover rose a seasonally adjusted 0.8% compared with the October to December period.
