RTTNews - Friday, the Statistics Sweden announced that the net trade surplus stood at SEK 9.5 billion in May, widening from SEK 8.8 billion in April. A year earlier, the trade surplus amounted to SEK 9.6 billion.

Exports value decreased 24% year-on-year to SEK 78 billion in May, while imports dropped 26% to SEK 68.5 billion.

On a seasonally adjusted basis, the net trade surplus amounted to SEK 8.3 billion in May, up from SEK 8.1 billion in April.

For the January to May period, the trade surplus stood at SEK 43.5 billion, down from SEK 54.7 billion in a year ago. At the same time, exports and imports decreased 21% annually.
