Sweden's March Jobless Rate Matches Expectations

Friday, Sweden's Public Employment Service said in a report that the jobless rate stood at 4.8% in March. This came in line with economist's estimates. During the month, there were 16,000 job terminations compared to 2,300 in the previous year.

In March, the number of job terminations grew the most in the manufacturing industry. At the same time, job terminations also increased in transport and metal industries.

Meanwhile, the number of job vacancies declined by 20,000 year-on-year to 44,000 in March. Job vacancies fell the most in manufacturing and service sectors.
