RTTNews - Sweden's activity index, which measures activity in the Swedish economy, rose a seasonally adjusted 0.09% month-on-month in April, slower than a 0.15% rise in the preceding month, the Statistics Sweden said Wednesday.

On a trend basis, the index fell 0.41% in April compared to a 0.44% decline in March.

The decrease in the activity index was mainly due to a decline in export of goods and industrial production. Import of goods and turnover in retail trade made a positive contribution to the trend, while hours worked by employees in government agencies had no impact on the development, the statistical office said.
