RTTNews - The Swiss trade surplus increased in April as exports recorded a monthly growth of 8.3%, reversing a 6.6% fall in March, the Federal Customs Administration said Thursday. At the same time, imports dropped 0.3%, slower than the 5.1% decline registered in the previous month.

In nominal terms, exports slipped 17.5% annually to CHF 15.46 billion and imports totaled CHF 12.89 billion, down 24.9% from the previous year. The resulting trade balance showed a surplus of CHF 2.56 billion, larger than the CHF 0.15 billion in the prior month.
