RTTNews - Swiss consumer prices dropped 1% year-on-year in May, quicker than a 0.3% fall recorded in April, the Federal Statistical Office said Friday. The decline was a touch higher than the expected fall of 0.9%. A year ago, the rate of inflation was 2.9%.

On a monthly basis, the consumer price index rose 0.2%, in line with expectations after an increase of 0.9% in the previous month.
