Swiss consumer prices edge up in June

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Prices at consumer level have increased slightly on the month in June due, mainly to fast growing petrol prices, according to the latest report by the Swiss Statistics Office.

Consumer prices have edged up 0.2% in June in Switzerland, fuelled again by prices of transport and housing and energy, which have posted increases by 1% and 0.7% respectively.

Year on year, consumer prices have increased 2.9% in June, the same increase as in May, and well above the 0.6% year on year increase posted in June last year.
