FXstreet.cm (Barcelona) - Consumer prices have grown at a faster pace in October after the summer sales pushed by higher prices in energy, such as heating oil and electricity, according to the Swiss statistics office.

CPI has increased 0.9% in October from September, and went 1.3% up from October 2006, figures in line with the experts forecasts but sharply higher than the 0.1% monthly increase and the 0.7% year on year rise posted on the previous month.

Prices for domestic goods have increased 0.1% on the month and 1% on the year, while prices for imported goods rose 2.8% on the month and 1.8% on the year.
