The Swiss currency extended European session's uptrend against most of its major counterparts in New York mid-day deals on Tuesday. The franc advanced further against the euro in New York deals and hit a new multi-week high of 1.5094 by about 10:55 am ET. As of now, the franc is worth 1.5120 versus the euro, compared to yesterday's close of 1.5161.

The franc also edged up against the US dollar and the Japanese yen during New York morning and climbed to fresh multi-day highs of 1.1361 and 87.24, respectively. At present, the Swiss currency is trading near 86.90 against the yen and 1.1430 versus the greenback.
