FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - The Kof economic barometer declined slightly to the level of 1.99 points in December from the 2.02 points posted in November, according to the latest report by Kof Swiss Economic Institute.
The result was relatively unchanged between November and December and slightly above market expectations of a 1.98 points reading. The barometer is based in three modules. The module Core GDP, which excludes construction and banking, points sideways and remains on high levels.
The module construction moves sideways close to 0 level and the module banking remained close to its previous level. The Kof Institute reports that consumption is the main contributor to the Swiss economic growth.
