FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Producer and import prices have increased 3.0% in December from the same month last year, while they rose 2.6% in the whole 2007, according to data released by the Swiss statistics office.

The 2.6% increase of 2006 is the highest seen since the year 2000, above the 2.4% increase posted in 2006 a, and sharply above the 1.1% increases in 2004 and 2005.

Since December 2006, producer and import prices rose 3.0%, with import process growing 3.4%, and Swiss home made products increasing a more moderate 2.7%.

From November, producer and import prices have edged down 0.1%, reaching 108,5 points (it was 100 points in 2000).
