FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Metal and petrol products have pushed the Swiss producer and import prices up in March, according to the latest survey by the Swiss statistics office.

Producer and import prices have accelerated in march compared to February, posting a 0.6% monthly increase, up from the 0.2% posted in February, and a 3.9% yearly increase, in February, producer and import prices rose 3.6%.

Petrol's increasing price, and in a lesser extent, metal product prices have brought about a 0.3% monthly increase in the producer prices index, and a 1.1% rise in the import prices index. On the year, producer prices have increased 3.5%, while imported prices have posted a 4.6% increase from March 2007.
