FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Retail sales have increased 3.6% in Switzerland in November in nominal terms, while they rose 2.9% in real terms, according to preliminary figures by the Swiss Statistics Office.

November's data is somewhat weaker tan expected, as market analysts had advanced a 4.0% increase. The increase of the first 11 months of the year has been 3.8% in nominal terms, from the same period last year, it was a 4.4% increase in real terms.

The largest contributor to November's increase has been the group food, drinks, cigarettes and smoking articles which posted a 6.0% increase on the month; followed by other products which rose 2.7% on the month. And complements and shoes with a 1.4% monthly increase.
