FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - Swiss economic activity has contracted in December for its fourth consecutive month, although the contraction pace has slowed down, as the SVME PMI Index increased on the month for the first time in six months.

Swiss SVME PMI has increased to 36.9 in December improving from the 35.2 in November, yet below the 50 level which marks the border between contraction and expansion of the country's economic activity.
